It’s a big week for Katie Holmes! The 33-year-old beauty kicked it off by presenting the Designer of the Year award to Carolina Herrera at the Style Awards on Wednesday (September 5).

Held at the Lincoln Center in New York City, the “Batman Begins” star was joined by style icons including Nicole Richie, Amy Adams, Katharine McPhee and Ed Westwick

“We are tremendously excited to bring the Style Awards to The Style Network viewers and to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week for the first time,” said Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, the Executive Producer of the Show. Jay Penske Chairman and CEO of PMC, owner of the Style Awards added, “We know this collaboration among three preeminent media and style brands will thrive for years to come.”

In regards to Miss Holmes, she is slated to debut her fashion line Holmes & Yang during New York Fashion Week.

A source told the New York Post, “This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny. They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business.”
