Starting off with an a capella rendition of the national anthem, Beyonce Knowles was on hand in New Orleans, LA for her Super Bowl press conference on Thursday (January 31).

After showing off her perfectly-pitched vocal chords, the 31-year-old singer confronted the now notorious lip-synching inauguration performance on January 21.

“I am a perfectionist. One thing about me I practice till my feet bleed. I did not have time to practice with the orchestra,” Beyonce said. “I did not feel comfortable taking a risk. It was about the president and the inauguration.”

“I decided to sing along with the prerecorded track. It’s very common in the industry,” she added.

Moving on from the headline-grabbing topic, Beyonce assured the press that she will perform the Super Bowl halftime show live, and explained, “I am well-rehearsed. This is what I was born to do.”

In addition to discussing her performance, the “Single Ladies” performer also hinted at a brand new tour. When asked when she will go on tour again, B responded, “Soon.”

Miss Knowles added, “I may have an announcement after the performance and the fans should just stay tuned to see.”
