Following last month’s report about two Ohio police chiefs accused of breaking in and attempting to sell pictures of the home belonging to the surrogate mother of Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker’s twins, People.com reports arrests have finally been made in the case. According to investigators, Martins Ferry Police Chief Barry Carpenter and Bridgeport Police Chief Chad Dojack were arrested, booked and soon-afterward released last night, with an arraignment scheduled for Friday.

Though authorities in the case have refused to reveal what the two men are charged with, the most likely charge expected is breaking and entering. Also believed to be connected with the plot to sell images collected inside the house to the National Enquirer is Bruce Callarik, the son of Bridgeport’s mayor and son-in-law to Chief Dojack. Though his role in the scandal is unclear at the moment, more details are expected Friday after Dojack and Carpenter are arraigned.

Meanwhile, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge Broderick, the twin girls born healthy on June 22nd, are doing fine.
