Her new docu-series, Scientology and the Aftermath, is not endearing her to the church

She’s majorly irritated Tom Cruise over her tell-all book which claims to lift the lid on the secret world of Scientology.

And now, not surprisingly, the Church of Scientology is hitting back at Leah Remini ’s claims that they spied on former members.

In the second episode of her new docu-series, Leah Remini: Scientology and a Aftermath, former church member Mike Rinder has made claims that after leaving the church he was watched by a ‘dark camera’, hidden in a birds nest of all places.

The church has vehemently denied this, telling E! News: “The law is that stream Church care never has and never would endure reprobate conduct, that is because people like Rinder were removed”.

The former The Kings of Queens star has said she will continue to try to expose the practices of the church, whether that is via TV or just “tweeting it out myself”.

She also praised the “brave” everyday people who dedicated their lives to the church and now, because of her documentary, should now “get a confirmation they deserve

The church have responded: “Leah Remini’s ‘reality’ show, like her final one, is zero some-more than a scripted, rehearsed, acted and dramatized work of fiction”.

Meanwhile, following Leah’s sit-down interview with 20/20 where she talked about the moment she first saw Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes getting touchy-feely, Katie issued a statement apologising for offending her.

She said: “I regret having upset Leah in the past and wish her only the best in the future.”

Leah, 46, also claimed criticising Tom was frowned up, saying: “Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself. You are evil.”

She also slammed his now infamous appearance on Oprah when he jumped on the sofa, an action she compared to that of an “overgrown child”.

Mirror Celebs has contacted a rep for Tom for comment.
